Codeso started as a small woodworking and reforestation project in the year 2000 on a four hectare property in Puerto Soley, la Cruz, Guanacaste, Costa Rica

Codeso strives for a balance between nature preservation and wood production. If you use wood you must plant it as well. But planting in plantations, hundreds and hundred of hecatarie is still no nature. No monkey can live there.
So 5 years later, we  expanded with 28 hectares in La Garita, Guanacaste. In our 28 hectares experimental plantation we planted production wood combined with preserve native trees, the habitat of animals and create an accessible piece of nature.
Thousands of the trees which where planted are growing well.
